LAHORE – Kinnaird Club (KC) set up a final clash with Garrison Club after crushing Universal Club by 234 runs in the Lahore Region Senior Inter-district Women Cricket Championship match here at the GCU ground on Thursday.
Kinnaird Club, bating first, piled up a huge total of 299 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 40 overs. Maham was top scorer with 56 runs while Hina (38), Farah (33) and Fariya (27) also batted well. Saba (3-47) and Mavriya (2-61) bowled well for Universal.
In reply, Universal were bundled out on paltry 35 runs in 14.3 overs with none of their batswomen reaching the double figures. Namra (3-12) was top wicket-taker for winners while Elizebath got two wickets for no run.  The final of the event will be played today (Friday) at the Kinnaird College ground while MPA Khawaja Imran Nazir will be chief guest at the occasion and will give away prizes to the top performers.
