Aisam, Faha engaged

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Pakistan tennis ace Aisamul Haq Qureshi got engaged to a Britain-based Pakistani girl Faha Makhdum here in a colourful ceremony on Saturday. Aisams family gifted a Belgian Diamond ring to Faha on this occasion in which persons from across the country participated. Pakistan Olympic Association President Gen (r) Arif Hassan, former Pakistan Tennis Federation President Dilawar Abbas, Senior Vice President PTF Col (r) Asif Dar, President PLTA Rao Iftikhar, renowned coach Rasheed Malik, members of Pakistan Davis Cup team, Aisams relatives and friends were also present on this occasion. Aisam, talking to media persons, said that he was very happy and hoped that his relation with Faha would bring a lot of happiness and success in his life. He was very excited and danced with his friend to celebrate the engagement. Aisams parents were also jubilant over this engagement while his sister and brother-in-law also expressed jubilation over the engagement. Aisams parents said: Both the families are very happy and our joint friend introduced us. Both Aisam and Faha meet each other in a meeting arranged by both the families and took this very important decision of their lives. Faha Makhdum said that she was very happy about getting engaged to Aisam and was waiting for the wedding which would be held on December 16. She said she would live in Pakistan after marriage. When Faha was asked about his favourite sport, she replied: I played no game has also no interest in any sport. Faha Makhdum lives in Ipswich and she has done her BSc Hons in Psychology from the University of Essex and her MSc in Therapeutic Counselling (BACP accredited). She has worked for the Pakistani High Commission in England and also practiced as a trainee counsellor for Stepping Stones East in 2010.
