Austria's Hirscher wins final giant slalom

SCHLADMING : Austria's Marcel Hirscher won the final giant slalom race of the season here Saturday to take his first ever World Cup trophy as well as the lead in the overall standings with one race to go. Hirscher, 23, led an entirely Austrian podium, finishing with a combined time over the two legs of 2min 25.53sec. Compatriots Hannes Reichelt, 31, and Marcel Mathis, 20, came 0.19 and 0.55 seconds behind.
