Cash awards for tri-nation series winners

LAHORE President Pakistan Hockey Federation Qasim Zia announced cash prizes for the officials and players of the Pakistan hockey team for their excellent performance during the Tri-Nation Series. Pakistan hockey team defeated World Champions Australia and won the Tri-Nation Series which was held in Perth, Australia from October 26 to November 3. On this occasion, Qasim Zia said that the PHF would announce more prizes for the players, if the team produces the similar results in the future. Talking to this scribe, PHF Secretary Asif Bajwa said: This is a very positive step by PHF president Qasim Zai who announced Rs 100,000 each for the players and officials of the winning team. It is a great motivation for them and it will help them in producing good results in upcoming events. He said that the PHF always emphasized on giving incentives to the players and many times the federation announced very good incentives to encourage them. The PHF always rewarded the top performers and will continue if these players will perform well in the upcoming event, they will be given more lucrative incentives for their encouragement and they will be honoured.
