LAHORE - Punjab University thrashed Government College University (GCU) by 4-0 to win the Lahore Division Inter-varsity football event of the Punjab Youth Festival (PYF) 2014 here at the UET ground on Tuesday. No goal was scored in the first half while the second half saw domination of PU players who scored four goals to make it 4-0 till the final whistle was blown. Umair Ali, Rashid Masih, Ahmad Fahim and Umar Hayat scored one goal each. Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) beat University of Lahore (UoL) by one run in the thrilling cricket final held here at the LCWU ground. Batting first, LCWU scored 56-1 in six overs and in reply, UoL managed to score 55-5 in the allotted overs. Fazeela took two wickets and Madiha Akhlaq Butt and Arifa Talib got one wicket each.–Staff Reporter
