ISLAMABAD - Former two-time national snooker champion and Asian Games bronze medallist Shahram Changezi lifted the 3rd Islamabad Snooker Championship 2014 title defeating ex-national junior champion Ayaz Khan by 5-4 here at the Billiards & Snooker Lounge, Pakistan Sports Complex. Shahram earned the right to represent Islamabad in the forthcoming National Ranking Championship to be held in Karachi next month. More than 200 players of the federal capital participated in the three-week championship played on league and knock out basis. Australian High Commissioner Peter Hayward was the chief guest, who also distributed shields and cash awards worth more than Rs 100,000. Fateh was also offered for the departed soul of PSB DG Syed Amir Hamza Gilani who passed away recently.–Staff Reporter
