BISE Faisalabad win Inter Board Girls Gymnastic


ISLAMABAD - Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad lifted the All Pakistan Inter-board Girls Gymnastic Championship 2011-12 title by securing 59.88 points, edging out Islamabad after a very close finish.
All-Pakistan Inter Boards Girls Gymnastic Championship was organised in collaboration with Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad at Islamabad Model College for Boys, I-10-4.
Faisalabad, Rawalpindi boards and Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad participated in the event.
BISE Faisalabad beg the overall first position by securing 59.88 points; FBISE Islamabad followed them with 59.40 points in the second and BISE Rawalpindi finished third by scoring 44.47 points.
Mehwish Riaz of BISE Faisalabad bagged the best gymnast of the year with 15.37 points.
Dr Sameena Nadeem, Principal, Islamabad Model College for Boys, I-10-4 was the chief guest and distributed prizes and trophies among the position holders. Director Sports, Federal Education Board, Islamabad, Ghulam Murtaza Cheema was also present on the occasion and thanked all the participating teams and players for making the event a huge success.
