DHAKA- Pakistan captain Muhammad Hafeez said beating India will be important in the opening match of the ICC World T-20 to be played tomorrow at Mirpur.
Speaking at a news conference, he stated that a victory in the first game against India would be important because a good start would give Pakistan a momentum in the tournament. Hafiz said “I am glad we are playing India first up. We are all excited about this game. The morale is good because we beat them in the Asia Cup. But we have to be at our best to win.”
For the Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, previous results will be irrelevant when the teams meet in the field at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in the Bangladeshi capital tomorrow evening.
