ISLAMABAD - Pakistan street child football team beat Islamabad team 2-1 in an exhibition football match played here at the Jinnah Stadium on Monday. Pakistan Baitul Maal MD Abid Waheed Sheikh, who was the chief guest on the occasion, announced Rs 25,000 for each player of bronze medal winning street child soccer team, while DG PSB Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, PFUJ president Afzal Butt, Muslim Hands International country director Zia Alnoor, Street Child World Cup chief executive John Wroe along with other dignitaries and soccer lovers were also present on the occasion. Both teams tried to take early initiative, but forwards missed too many goal scoring chances. Razzaq Mushtaq scored the first goal in the dying moments of the first half to put the winners ahead. M Anas made things all square for Islamabad soon after the restart of the second half. Aurangzaib scored the winning goal for the street child team in the 60th minute to ensure no upsets were witnessed. Chief guest Abid Waheed distributed track suits among the kids and also announced a cash award of Rs 25,000 each for every player on behalf of Pakistan Baitul Maal.
