ISLAMABAD – All the seeded players moved to the pre-quarterfinals of the 1st AJ Pharma Senior/Junior National Ranking Tennis Championship here at Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, PTF Tennis Complex on Monday. Top seed M Mudassar eliminated Hasnain of Islamabad 7-5, 6-3. Shoaib Khan of Peshawar beat Mir Shahzaib Ahmed in a three-set match. Syed Nofil Kaleem registered straight set win against Sheheryar Khan of Peshawar 6-1, 6-2. M Muzammil crushed Shakirullah 6-1, 6-1. Ilham Khan thumped Ahmed Asjad 6-1, 6-2. In boys’ U-14 category, seven players moved to the per-quarterfinals by winning their respective matches. The draws of junior U-18 doubles were also taken out, according to which top four seeds are Mudassar/Muzammil, Nofil/Arham Atiq, Ilham /Yousaf and Hasnain/Hafiz Arbab.–Staff Reporter
