ISLAMABAD - Rawalpindi Journalists XI defeated Ufone by seven wickets in a friendly T20 here at Pindi Cricket Stadium. Batting first, Ufone scored 113-9 in the allotted overs. Adeel hit 26 while Ahmer added 16, Talha 15, Saddarudin and Kashif 12 runs each. Bilal Nazar grabbed 4-12 while Sameer Abbas and Khawar Nawaz took two wickets each. Faraz Aleem smashed unbeaten 64 to help Journalists XI achieve the target in 16.3 overs losing only three wickets. Afzal Javed hit unbeaten 20, Tahir Mehmood 13 and Mohsin Ali 8. Ata Rasool took 2-22. Faraz and Bilal were jointly named men of the match. Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Sports Ch Sarfraz Afzal was chief guest while convener Tehsil Sports Council Raja Hanif MPA, DSO Abdul Waheed Baber, Dr Zahid Awan and others were also present.–Staff Reporter
