PAF face Navy in National Volleyball final

WAH CANTT - Pakistan Air Force (PAF) will take on Pakistan Navy today (Sunday) in the 47th National Volleyball Championship final here at POF Sports Complex.
In the first semi-final played here on Saturday, Navy defeated Army 3-1. Navy managed to take the first game 27-25, second 25-20, lost the third game 25-21 and took the fourth 25-21 to win the match.
In the second semifinal, PAF came from behind to beat Wapda 3-2. PAF lost the first game 21-25, but bounced back to take the second game 25-22, before again losing the third game 32-30. It was arguably the best encounter of the entire event, as quality volleyball was witnessed between the two best sides of the country.
PAF started the fourth game with a clear frame of mind. Their hard work paid off as they managed to win the fourth game 25-21 to take the match into fifth and deciding game. PAF boys delivered when it mattered the most as they managed to pull off one of the most sensational victories by grabbing the fifth game 15-12. The match lasted for one hour and 35 minutes.  The final will be played at 2pm. POF chairman Lt Gen M Ahsan Mehmood will grace the occasion as chief guest.
