LAHORE – Aleem Dar Cricket Academy (CA) U-15 lifted the 1st Annual Model Town Whites U-15 Cricket Championship 2014 after outclassing UNE Academy (DHA) by six runs in the final played here at the Model Town Whites ground. Batting first, Aleem Dar CA were all out for 139 in 20 overs. M Saad hammered 34 runs while Shahroz added 20 and Hasher and Ahmed Butt 18 runs each. M Nadeem clinched 3-27 and Daniyal got 1-19. In reply, UNA Academy DHA fought well but all their efforts went in vain when they were all out for 133 in 20 overs. Taha was top scorer with 33 runs while Hamza added 22 and Farooq 18 runs. Shahroz Farooq grabbed 4-23 while Tayyab got 2-17. Ex-Pakistan team captain Salman Butt, Junaid Zia and Fahad Masood graced the occasion as chief guests.
