KARACHI - Pakistan's women team ended their campaign in the Venice Cup-World Women's Bridge Championship when they overcame arch-rivals India by barest margin in Bali, Indonesia on Monday.
After 21 league round matches which concluded Tuesday, Pakistan ended on 19th spot with 141.2 points. Pakistan's women team won just four of their 21 league. The winners of Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East (BFAME) maintained their domination against India with an exciting 10.91 to 9.90 triumph to salvage some pride. Pakistan team having Rubina Agha-Zeenat Azwer, Roshan Ara Bukhari-Qudsia Doosa and daughter mother pair of Rubina Hai and Fatima Raza achieved the attention of experts with three straight victories against Australia, Canada and South Africa in 12th, 13th and 14th round. Rubina Agha's Pakistan team achieved their biggest win when they thrashed South Africa by 15.38 to 4.62 points.
