WCF official arrives for chess promotion

LAHORE - World Chess Federation (WCF) vice president Ali Nihat Yazici has reached the city for talks with Pakistan Chess Federation (PCF) officials to enhance the mutual cooperation for progress of chess in the country. Yazici is visiting the country on invitation of PCF secretary Dr Naeem Hamid Mirza. He will also hold meetings with different government dignitaries and will also attend a meeting with federation’s management team. Yazici is also chairman of World Chess Federation’s ‘Chess in School Commission’. He has been instrumental in creating vast sports-related infrastructures at school level in different countries of the world. Dr Naeem hoped that his visit would be very beneficial for building the sports infrastructure at the level of Pakistani schools.–Staff Reporter
