ISLAMABAD - Rawalpindi finished day one of the PCB Regional Inter-District Two-day U-19 Tournament 2014 in driving seat against Jhelum, here at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Friday. Rawalpindi finished the day at 77 without loss in 20 overs. Ayaz scored unbeaten 40 while Noman Ali made unbeaten 33. Earlier, Jehlum, put into bat first, started their innings in cautious manner, scoring 12 runs in eight overs, but after slow start, Jhelum kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Ali Hasan top-scored with 45 hitting five boundaries while Waqas Ali added 25 with the help of three fours and Zohaib Amir 24 hitting four fours. Shadab Khan and Ali Raza ripped apart Jhelum batting by grabbing four wickets each conceding 35 and 55 runs respectively, as Jhelum were bowled out for 168 in 68 overs.–Staff Reporter
