Ex-PCAPH directors to form new body for sports promotion

ISLAMABAD - Former directors of Pakistan Cricket Association of Physically Handicapped (PCAPH) met under the chair of Sheikh Abdul Waheed with Saeed Ahmed Bhatti, Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry and M Naveed Malik.
Talking to The Nation on Wednesday, Waheed said: “We have joined the PCAPH for a noble cause, but when we witnessed that some elements had started to use the association for vested interests, instead of passing on to the deserving handicapped players, we decided to part way.”  He said players were making constant requests to them to either join the PCAPH again or at least announce a separate body. “After long meetings with our friends, now we have decided to work for the noble cause again, but let me clear one thing our body has nothing to do with the PCAPH or any other association as we will not only promote handicapped cricket but also other sports as well.”
“We have already completed all the legal formalities and our body will be announced in few days. We have taken on board friends, who have no intention of self-publicity, but only one desire to join hands for the promotion of a noble cause,” Waheed concluded.
