Peshawar beat Bahawalpur in One-day Cup


ISLAMABAD - Peshawar Panthers outclassed Bahawalpur Stags by five wickets in the One-Day Cup 2013-2014 Group-I seventh round match played at Arbab Niaz Stadium on Wednesday. Put into bat first, Bahawalpur posted 230 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 45 overs. Rehan Rafiq played superb knock of 80 runs and consuming 106 deliveries he hit nine boundaries. Imranullah also batted well and added 53 runs off 41 balls studied with 10 fours. Azam Khan was the pick of the bowlers as he grabbed four wickets for 20 while Jibran Khan claimed three wickets for 44. Peshawar faced little resistance in chasing the required, as they reached home in 38.3 overs losing five wickets. Adil Amin made 59 runs while Jamaluddin added 43 and Mehran Ibrahim unbeaten 34.
