ISLAMABAD - Four-member national children ski team led by coach Col (retd) Amjad Wali left for Kazakhstan on Monday to participate in the Asian Children Alpine Ski Championship.
The championship will start today (Tuesday) and continue till March 2 in which more than 50 Asian countries are taking part. The team includes master Ziaur Rehman, master Noor Zahid Abbas, master Waqar Azam and master Noor Mohammad while Col Amjad Wali is coach.
Talking to the newsmen here on Monday, Col Wali said the boys had made extra and hectic practice at Naltar Ski resort and were ready to compete against the top teams. “We are confident that team will win top slot in the event,” he concluded.
