England beat Aussies by 21 runs in 4th ODI

England's kept alive their hopes of winning the one-day series against Australia with a 21-run victory in Adelaide in the fourth match of seven. Jonathan Trott's 102 formed the basis of England's 299-8, during which Paul Collingwood became the first Englishman to score 5000 limited-overs runs. Australia's innings stalled when opener Shane Watson was dismissed for 64. A late Steve Smith rally (46 not out) was not enough as Australia, who lead the series 3-1, finished on 278. The victory was England's first against Australia in six one-day internationals and will reinvigorate a so-far one-sided series which would have headed into dead-rubber territory had the hosts emerged victorious on at the Adelaide Oval.
