Gold Cup Basketball Championship

ISLAMABAD - Three matches were decided at the inaugural day of the POF WAH Chairman Gold Cup Basketball Championship organised by Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF) at Basketball Court, POF Wah here on Thursday. Chief guest M Asif, member production & coordination, inaugurated the event. PBBF secretary Col (r) Naseem Butt, POF Sports Board president M Afzal, M Naeem Sh, Imran Bashir and a large number of people were also present there. In the first match, Fata beat Punjab by 49-34. In the second match, Punjab edged out Balochistan 57-46 while in the third and last match of the day, POF Wah outclassed Sindh 32-16. Five matches will be played today (Friday) as the first match will be Fata vs Sindh, second Islamabad vs Balochistan, third POF vs KPK, fourth Sindh vs Punjab and fifth Fata vs Islamabad.–Staff Reporter
