Three matches held in National Hockey

LAHORE - Port Qasim Authority, Army and National Bank of Pakistan won their respective matches in the 60th NBP National Hockey Championship here at the Johar Town Hockey Stadium on Thursday. In the first match, Port Qasim outclassed Police 3-0. Port Qasim opened their account in the 30th minute through a field goal by Owais-ur-Rehman as at interval, Port Qasim was leading with 1-0. They doubled the lead in the 53rd minute through Javed Ali while in the 61st minute, Sohail scored the third goal to register an easy win for Port Qasim. Army overwhelmed Navy 4-0 in the second match of the day 4-0 while in the third match, NBP outclassed PTV 5-0. Today (Friday)’s matches: PTV vs HEC, Police vs Navy and Army vs PQA.–Staff Reporter
