LAHORE – Punjab Colours, Railways and Wapda registered victories in the Second Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) U-21 Girls Hockey Championship being held here at the National Hockey Stadium.
Punjab Colours defeated Punjab Whites 1-0. Both teams gave tough time to each other in the first half and did not allow each other to score. The second half proved conclusive when Colours’ Kalsoom Munir scored impressive goal in the 39th minute.
In the second match, Mayira Sabir burst three goals in Railways 9-0 triumph over Sindh. Railways smashed five goals in the first half and added four more in second. Shukria Rashid scored two goals while Marina Anwar, Aqsa Mumtaz, Zakia Nawaz and Iram Hassan had one goal each for the winners.
Wapda outpaced Pakistan Board by 4-0 in the last match. Muqadas Akbar scored two goals while Shahida Raza and Fakhara managed one goal each in Wapda’s win.
