ISLAMABAD - Three more matches were decided on the third day of the Chairman POF Gold Cup Basketball Championship at POF Basketball Court Wah Cantt on Saturday.
In the first match, Punjab defeated POF 58-35. Romas Juleous (18), Zanair (13) and Shahbaz (11) played well for Punjab while Umer Saleem (13) and Mehtab Ahmed (8) played well for POF Wah. In the second match, Islamabad beat Sindh by 40-26. M Umer scored 15 baskets and Waqas Hussain nine while Saad and Jawad scored 16 and six baskets respectively for Sindh. In the third match, Punjab defeated Islamabad 46-23 with Zanair and Romas Juleous scoring 14 and 11 baskets respectively for Punjab while Usman Raja and M Umer scored six baskets each for the losers. The final of the event will be held on December 30.
