ISLAMABAD – Gilgit-Baltistan lifted the Saadia Khan Ski Cup concluded at the PAF Ski resort, Naltar. Begum Shehla Tahir was the chief guest.
President Ski Federation, Air Marshal Farhat Hussain Khan, Vice Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force was also present on the occasion. In children boys' category PAF team won the trophy, in the children girls' category PAF skiers won the trophy. Skiers from Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Islamabad, Northern Areas, Adventure Foundation, Alpine Club, Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force participated three-day ski event.
The results of events are as under:
Slalom: Amina Wali, gold, Ifrah Wali, silver, (both of GBSF) and Fatima Sohail, (PAF), bronze.
Giant Slalom: Amina Wali (GBSF) gold, Fatima Sohail (PAF) silver and Squadron Leader Naida (PAF) bronze.
Children competition (boys):
Slalom: Zia-ur-Rehman, gold, Waqas Azam, silver and Zahid Abbas, bronze (all from PAF)
Giant Slalom: Zahid Abbas, gold, Waqas Azam, silver and Zia-ur-Rehman, bronze, (all from PAF)
Children competition (girls):
Slalom: Zainab Sohail, gold, Neelam, silver and Ummama Wali, bronze (all from PAF)
Giant Slalom: Ummama Wali, gold, Zainab Sohail, silver and Neelam, bronze (all from PAF).
Master category:
Slalom: Jamil (PAF), gold, Suleman silver and Fazal Wadood bronze (both from GBSF).
Giant Slalom: Suleman (GBSF), gold, Jamil (PAF) silver and Fazal Wadood, (GBSF) bronze.
