ISLAMABAD - AJK beat Fatima Jinnah University (FJU) by four wickets to set final clash with Rawalpindi in the 8th Regional Inter-district Senior Women Championship 2014 here at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday. FJU skipper opted to bat first in the rain-shortened 40 overs aside match but her decision failed miserably as the entire team was all out for meager 75 in 16 overs. Maham Waqar scored 50. Madiha Rasheed rattled FJU batting with 5-15 while Aqsa Munawar got 3-13. AJK women achieved the target in 14.1 overs losing six wickets. Faiza made unbeaten 16 while Madiha added 11. Razia took 2-6. Rawalpindi had already qualified for the final. Former Test fast bowler Sarfraz Nawaz will grace the final as chief guest. The prize distribution ceremony will be held at 4pm today (Sunday).–Staff Reporter
