PCC qualify for Boys’ Hockey final


ISLAMABAD - Punjab Commerce College (PCC) qualified for the Federal Board Inter-collegiate Boys’ Hockey Championship 2014 final after defeating FG Boy's College Wah 2-1 in the semifinal here at Naseer Bunda Stadium on Thursday. FG Wah was leading 1-0 in the first half through Adil's goal when Tayyab leveled the match soon after the interval. Abdul Raheem then scored the winning goal for Punjab College in the dying moments of the match. In the second semifinal, IMCB G-6/3 beat Sultana Foundation School 2-1. The match remained goalless in the first half while Nauman and Hasnat scored a goal each for the winners in the second half and Zeeshan scored a goal for the losers. The final will be played today (Friday) between Punjab College and IMCB G-6/3 at 11am.–Staff Reporter
