HAFIZABAD - The Christians here observed Easter with their religious fervour. Specials prayers in all the churches were offered for the integrity, solidarity and national cohesion.
Pastors in the Churches while delivering their sermons stressed the participants to work for interfaith harmony and prosperity of the country.
Transporters overcharging: Transporters of different routes are fleecing commuters by charging exorbitant fares.
According to commuters, the secretary RTT/District Transport Authority has fixed fare for Hafizabad-Lahore at Rs130 but the transporters are charging Rs180 to 220. Similarly, they charge double fare of Gujranwala, Pindi Bhattian, Sukheke and Alipur routes. The commuters accused the traffic police and administration of conniving with the transporters.
