Girl student succumbs to injuries

KARACHI - A minor girl injured during a grenade-and-gun attack in Ittehad Town area of Karachi on Saturday, , succumbed to her wounds during treatment at a local hospital in the city on Sunday, reported a private TV channel.
According to JPMC MLO, seven-year old Tahira, daughter of Noor Wahid Khan, was under treatment at Jinnah Hospital. She breathed her last despite efforts by the doctors to save her.
A local leader of Awami National Party, Rasheed, was killed while eight others suffered injuries during the attack by unidentified men at a school in Ittehad Town on Saturday.
Four held for burning youth: Ghotki police arrested four people for allegedly burning a boy to death after President Asif Ali Zardari took notice of the horrific incident, reported Online.
According to reports, two accused identified as Sunil Aka Bakar and Kirshan kidnapped a woman and raped her few days ago. The accused kept threatening family of the victim woman to withdraw the case registered against them in Khanpur Mehr Police Station.
The family refused to budge and insisted action against the accused. The accused along with four other accomplices abducted Gayan, 16, a nephew of the women and took him to Gabol area of the district where they doused the boy in petrol and set fire to him.
The boy received serious burn injuries and died at a local hospital.
 The incident has raised panic in the areas leaving people in protest.
