HAFIZABAD - Former federal minster Liaqat Abbas Bhatti, Mubashar Abbas Bhatti, Sikandar Nawaz Bhatti have filed their nomination papers to contest election from NA-103 while Dr Muzaffar Ali Sheikh, Shoukat Ali Bhatti and Dr Habibullah Cheema have filed their nomination papers from PP-105.
Likewise, Chaudhry Mehdi Hassan Bhatti, Ch Shoukat Ali Bhatti and Jamaat-e-Islami’s Dr. Habibullah Cheema have filed their nomination papers from NA-102. Ex-tehsil nazim Rai Jahangir Ali Kharal, his elder-brother Rai Riasat Ali Kharal and Ch Amanullah Chattha filed their nomination papers from PP-106 and Pir Syed Shoaib Shah Bukhari and Liaqat Abbas Bhatti from PP-107.
Although Ch Mehdi Hassan Bhatti group belongs to the PML-Q yet it has not shown their party affiliation in the nomination forms. Being an old and shrewd politician of the district, he is analysing the changing scenario following large scale defection in the PPP. When contacted Ch Mehdi Bhatti did not commented on the issue.
