1109 graduates awarded degrees at CUST convocation

ISLAMABAD - The Convocation for Graduates of 2021 of Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) was held at Convention Centre Islamabad wherein 1109 graduates including BBA, MBA, BS, MS and PhD in the fields of Management Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, Project Management, Computer Science and Biosciences were awarded degrees.

Renowned nuclear Scientist, Prof Dr Inam-ur-Rehman, graced the occasion as the chief guest while Prof Dr Muhammad Mansoor Ahmed, Vice Chancellor, Capital University of Science and Technology, presided over the event

In his inaugural speech, the VC welcomed the graduating students for their presence in the memorable and happy occasion and declared this event as a significant milestone in their lives. He congratulated the graduates and highlighted the contribution made by the university in the field of higher education. He hoped that the graduates will contribute towards scientific and technological development of the country through their ability, dignity, determination and commitment.

Dr Inam-ur-Rehman, while delivering his keynote address, said education plays a vital role in economic development of the country. It raises the productivity and efficiency of individuals and thus produces skilled manpower that is capable of leading the economy towards the path of sustainable economic development.

In the convocation 30 graduates were awarded PhD degrees; including 09 in the field of Management Sciences, 11 in the field of Engineering, 02 in the field of Computing, 01 in the field of Biosciences and 07 in the field of Mathematics.
