KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has urged the Sindh government not to victimise the opposition leader in Sindh Assembly, Jam Madad Ali. In his statement issued on Thursday, he said that this was the need of democracy to tolerate difference of opinion and avoid threatening attitude over the criticism of opposition. "Opposition is the basic component of democracy and baleful attitude can ruin it. If former rulers had adopted the wrong behaviour with the opposition than why the present government has following the same paths." he added. He urged the government to avoid political victimisation of Jam Madad and should respect the opposition parties.
