LAHORE Capital City Police Officer Ahmad Raza Tahir on Wednesday stressed that provocative and hate-mongering speeches are intolerable, which disturb the civic peace and hurt sentiments of others. According to a police spokesman, the CCPO directed the police to ensure complete ban, imposed by the Punjab government on Ulemas involved in making provocative speeches, which may result in disturbing the peaceful atmosphere during Muharam-ul-Harram and resulting in any unpleasant incident. He informed that the government has imposed ban on speech making by 24 provocative Ulema, belonging to various sects for 30 days, with effect from 26 November 2011, whereas a complete ban has also been imposed on 27 Ulema and Zakireen belonging to various schools of thought on their entry in District Lahore. The 24 Ulema whose speeches have been banned include: Maulana Zubair Ahmad Zaheer (Ahl-e-Hadith), Maulana Qari Zafar Iqbal Rizvi (Barilvi), Maulana Muhamamd Amjid Khan (Deo Bandi), Maulana Qari Muhamamd Younis Anwar (Deo Bandi), Maulana Saif ul Din Saif (Deo Bandi), Maulana Abdul Haie Abid (Deo Bandi), Maulana Fazal ur Rehman Khan (Ahl-e-Hadith), Maulana Pir Saif Ullah Khalid (Deo Bandi), Maulana Ibtsam Elahi Zaheer (Ahl-e-Hadith), Zakir Firyad Hussain (Ahl-eTashee), Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Mujahid (Deo Bandi), Maulana Muhammad Younis Azad (Ahl-e-Hadith), Zakir Ghulam Raza Jahndhavi (Ahl-e-Tashee), Maulana Muhammad Ajmal Qadri (Deo Bandi), Mufti Fazal Ahmad Chashti (Barilivi), Qari Shabbir Ahmad Usmani (Deo Bandi), Maulana Muhammad Iqbal Chashti (Barilivi), Maulana Mufti Abid Jillali (Barilivi), Maulana Latif ur Rehman (Ahl-e-Hadith), Syed Arshad Hussain Gardazi (Ahl-e-Tashee), Qari Muhammad Jameel (Deo Bandi), Maulana Muhib Alnabi (Ahl-e-Hadith), Naeem Ullah Farooqi (Ahl-e-Hadith) and Maulana Raza-e-Mustafa (Ahl-e-Sunat). Furthermore, a complete ban on 27 Ulema and Zakireen have been imposed on their entry in Lahore District, including Maulana Muhammad Yousaf Pasroori (Ahl-e-Hadith), Syed Ilyas Raza Rizvi (Ahl-e-Tashee), Maulana Abdul Sitar Tonsvi (Deo Bandi), Maulana Muhammad Nawaz Baloch (Deo Bandi), Maulana Qasir Abbas Haydari (Ahl-e-Tashee), Alama Sayed Sabtain Sherazi (Ahl-e-Tashee), Maulana Muhamamd Akram Abidi (Deo Bandi), Allama Prof. Syed Zameer Akhtar Naqvi (Ahl-e-Tashee), Maulana Abdul Rehman Zia (Deo Bandi), Maulana Abdul Majeed Nadeem (Deo Bandi), Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Ludhanvi (Deo Bandi), Maulana Ghulam Kibria Shah (Deo Bandi) and Maulana Aziz ur Rehman (Deo Bandi).
