Peshawar - Regional Police Officer (RPO) Yaseen Farooq on Monday said that Mardan Region Police is working for the betterment of the people and resolving their grievances in an efficient manner.
Presiding over a monthly review meeting on video link regarding complaints lodged on Pakistan Citizen Portal at Regional Police Office Mardan, he said that relief is being provided to the people by taking timely action on the complaint lodged on Pakistan Citizen Portal. Police operations against anti-social elements have been intensified, he added.
In order to stay in touch with the people, a series of Khuli Kacheries are being held at the police station and circle level to know about the problems of the people in detail and steps are being taken to solve them at their doorsteps. The meeting was attended by DPO Mardan Dr Zahidullah, DPO Nowshera Muhammad Omar, DPO Swabi Muhammad Shoaib, DPO Charsadda Sohail Khalid and DPO Mohmand Salahuddin kundi.
Briefing the meeting on the complaints lodged on Pakistan Citizen Portal, it was informed that Mardan Regional Police has received 12465 complaints on the portal which have been resolved within stipulated time to which more than 55% of the complainants have responded positively.
The registered complaints were made in different categories including land occupation mafia, traffic problems, delay in registration of FIRs, theft and other police related services which the regional police took practical action to resolve.
Giving details of the complaints, it was informed that a more than 150 complaints have been registered in the land grabbing category in which 15 FIRs have been registered while some cases are pending in the courts.
Expressing satisfaction over the performance of the Regional Police on Pakistan Citizen Portal, RPO Yaseen Farooq said that he is personally overseeing the processing of complaints lodged on Pakistan Citizen Portal. Strict departmental action will be taken against those who are negligent or negligent in their duties.
