At least 15 people killed in three US drone strikes in North Waziristan

Three US missile strikes on Saturday killed 15 suspected militants in restive tribal region, security officials said. The attacks took place in the Mandi Khel area of the North Waziristan tribal district along the Afghan border. According to details, The first missile attack apparently took place at 0820 am in Tehsil Spain wam, killing six people, when the vehicle was targeted. The unmanned aircraft fired four missiles on a vehicle. The vehicle was destroyed in the attack. The locals rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies for burial. The identity of the victims could not be immediately ascertained. Minutes later, another missile strike targeted another vehicle in the same area, killing at least 5 people. The US drone fired two missile on a vehicle. In the third attack, the drone fired missile on a vehicle in Gharoski area of North Waziristan, killing four people. More than 600 people died in the air-raids. Intelligence officials say most of them were suspected militants, but verification of the claims is difficult since the area remains almost inaccessible for journalists and aid workers.
