LAHORE - The SNGPL on Friday disconnected gas supply to 14 different government organisations over non-payment of millions of rupees.
The company spokesperson stated that in order to expedite recovery from large government defaulting consumers, a team visited sites in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Sargodha regions and disconnected supply to the departments.
Those who had been disconnected were: District Jail Sargodha, Rawalpindi General Hospital, Pak Atomic Energy Commission, Federal Govt Hospital Islamabad, Federal Lodges G5, Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi, DHQ Sargodha, Govt Mian Maulabakhsh Hospital Sargodha, DHQ Jehlum, National Institute of Handicapped ISB, Especial Brach Police Melamandi Sargodha, National Training Institute Sector H9 ISB and SSP Kacheri Road Sargodha.  The spokesperson said that over Rs710 million were unpaid by these above said departments.
