ISLAMABAD - The district administration on Monday has allowed the water parks, swimming pools and amusement parks to operate following the SOPs of coronavirus.

However, the aforementioned water parks, swimming pools and amusement parks will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday. In a notification, the District Magistrate’s Office said in exercise of powers under Epidemic Diseases Control Act, 1958, in compliance to the decision of National Command Operation Centre (NCOC), Islamabad amid low disease transmission and in light of global practices and input from Ministry of Health Services Regulations and Coordination, water parks, swimming pools and amusement parks in Islamabad Capital Territory are allowed to operate with immediate effect subject to adherence to SOPs. There will be 50 per cent capacity at all entertainment facilities while no indoor dining, food courts or food corners will be allowed, the notification said.

“As regards to swimming pools, one time occupancy will be clearly written alongside pool for strict adherence,” it was mentioned. 

The district magistrate also made it clear that regular chlorination of swimming pools will be ensured besides maintaining social distancing protocols at entry/exit and on amusement gadgets will strictly adhered.
