ISLAMABAD - Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Monday chided Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif for allegedly causing undue delay in the ongoing trial of money-laundering case against him.  He took to the Twitter to say that the opposition leader was constantly seeking adjournments from the court in the case.

“Another date…why Shehbaz Sharif is running away from the court if his case is so weak,” he said.

He questioned why the PML-N president had been opposing daily hearing of the case and its live coverage?

The minister was referring to the ongoing trial of Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz in an accountability court of Lahore in a money laundering and corruption case initiated by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Fawad said both the Sharif and Zardari families knew very well that their safety and well-being remained in “escaping from courts.”
