LAHORE - On the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, illegal constructions have been demolished in Murree in a special drive against encroachments. Murree Assistant Commissioner Umar Maqbool supervised the operation. According to details, encroachments have been removed from 25km long roadside along National Highway, Express Highway Sar-Khaitar Toll Plaza to Mouza Masyari. Ten illegally constructed structures and exterior walls of eight houses have also been bulldozed. Moreover, six illegal constructions have been demolished in Sunny Bank Area. Similarly, three illegal constructions in Bank Road, one in Brewery, four in Cart Road, one Commercial Structure on Bhurban Road and two illegal constructions were bulldozed in Duna.

Moreover, buildings were demolished over non-payment of commercialisation fee, qabza mafia and non-payment of Rs30.6 million in the head of map fee. Murree Assistant Commissioner Umar Maqbool says that indiscriminate action will be taken against illegal constructions in Murree.
