AHMEDPUR EAST-PTI chairman Imran Khan, Tahir Qadri and Altaf Hussain are trying to destabilise Pakistan but the government, with the support of the masses, will their nefarious designs.
State Minister for Interior and Education Engineer Balighur Rehman stated while addressing a gathering of the PML-N councillors and activists at the residence of MPA Qazi Adnan Farid here the other day.
The State Minister lashed out at the PTI chief, saying Mr Khan is searching short-cut to get the office of premier but he should wait till 2018 general elections. “Dream of Imran Khan will not come true as the PML-N will again sweep the next general elections on the basis of its performance and good governance,” he claimed. Mr Baligh paid tribute to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over his ‘visionary domestic and foreign policies,’ saying the government would continue its moral and diplomatic support to people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The state minister stated that India has failed to suppress the Kashmir independence movement despite using more than 0.7 million armed personnel. He said that the PML-N government would achieve its target by producing 35,000 megawatts of electricity by 2018 while Gwadar port would be a game changer for Pakistan which would be compared with Dubai and Singapore ports.
Balighur Rehman claimed that the PML-N government is not frightened of Imran Khan and Tahir Qadri’s protests as PTI has faced defeat in recently held by-election. He said that there is no space for extremism in the country envisioned by Quiad-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He pointed out that the country’s economy has been put on the right track, attributing it to the stability of democracy. The day is not far when Pakistan would become an Asian tiger under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he claimed. The state minister asked the PML-N elected councillors to resolve people problems at their doorsteps and make the local government system successful.
Earlier PML-N MPA Qazi Adnan Farid in his welcome address thanked State Minister for providing financial assistance to civil hospital Ahmedpur East.
Candidate for Municipal Corporation chairman Malik Usman Rasheed Bobak, PML-N leader Qazi Burhan Farid and Tariq Rasheed Malik also spoke on the occasion.
