Rawalpindi-District Administration Rawalpindi on directions of Commissioner Saqib Manan is fully vigilant and alert to combat dengue. 
Officers including Deputy Commissioner Tahir Farooq are in the field to check the performance of dengue teams working in the district, a spokesman informed on Friday.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Tahir Farooq visited Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Gujar Khan to inspect the arrangements in dengue ward, which is fully equipped with apparatus and medicines.
He also distributed awareness pamphlets among citizens. On the occasion, Medical Superintendent THQ briefed him about the facilities being given to patients.
DC ordered MS to maintain cleanliness in the hospital besides providing adequate health facilities to dengue patients.
He said the dengue surveillance teams should be present in the field to overwhelm the outbreak of the disease.
He also urged the citizens to follow SOPs announced by the government to crush dengue larvae.
