GKMC/BKMC-MTI’s governing body meets

PESHAWAR   -   The 9th Board of Governors (BOG) meeting of the Gajju Khan Medical College Bacha Khan Medical Complex (GKMC/BKMC-MTI) was held here in the Conference room of GKMC-MTI.


The meeting was chaired by BOG Chairman and Member of the KP Policy Board Maj Gen (retd) Salahudin Qasim while members including Dr Arshad Hussain, Dr Iqbal Bagum, Dr Tufail Khan, Mian Unwan-Ud-din and Dr Ashfaq Ahmad and others participated in the meeting.


A detailed briefing regarding the construction of a separate building for GKMC-MTI, proposal of Nursing College, hostels, New Emergency, Burn and Trauma Centre,  was given to the Board members.


GKMC-MTI CEO Prof Dr Shams-Ur-Rahman and Hospital Director Dr Amjad Mahbood   also briefed the meeting on various issues and progress of their respective domains. BOG chairman also paid a visit to the new advanced skill Lab established in GKMC-MTI, and said that it was need of the time to have a sophisticated   lab for faculty as well as clinical training.


BOG appreciated the efforts of management for the implementation of Institutional Based Practice (IBP) at BKMC-MTI, also directed administration and management to strengthen the IBP.


The dean informed the BOG members that the letter would be sent to the health department for the approval of the medical college building construction.
