attock - Police have arrested eight anti-social elements including two women from different areas of the district. In the first attempt, Hasanabdal Saddar Police during a raid on a hotel arrested four men and two women who were present inside the hotel for immoral activities. Those arrested include Nabeel resident of Bai, Masud resident of Sanjwali, Sakhawat resident of Kohlia, Ajmal Khan resident of Upper Dir and two women resident of Islamabad and Lahore while three of their accomplices Anjum, Waqar and Liaqat escaped. In the second attempt, Injra police arrested a drug peddler Mehboob son of Habib resident of Girdi and recovered 1.2kg hashish from his possession. While in another attempt, police arrested Bilal son of Safdar for allegedly in possessing an unlicensed pistol. Cases under the acts have been registered against them and all have been sent behind the bars.
