Funeral prayer in absentia held for Mullah Omar

Islamabad - Jamaat-ud-Dawa Islamabad chapter arranged funeral prayer in absentia for Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan Amir Mulla Mohammad Omar here at Jamia Masjid Qaba I-8, which was attended by people from all walks of life in a big number.
The funeral prayer was led by central leader of Jamaat-ud-Dawa Hafiz Abdur Rehman Makki. Prominent among those who attended the funeral included former DG ISI Lt Gen (Retd) Hamid Gul, JI central Niab Amir Mian Aslam, central leader of Jamaat-ud-Dawa Shafiqur Rehman and other notables of the twin cities.
Some moving scenes were witnessed at the funeral when Hafiz Abdur Rehman Makki was offering Fateha for the departed soul of great freedom fighter Mulla Omer, as majority of the participants broke into tears.
Briefly addressing the participants former DG ISI Lt Gen (Retd) Hamid Gul and other speakers paid glowing tributes to late Mulla Mohammad Omar and termed the way of his governance a beacon light for the rulers of Muslim countries.
Hamid Gul said that Mulla Mohammad Omar was a great personality who had defied the sole superpower of the world and refused to hand over Osama bin Laden to America. He said that his philosophy was alive in yesteryears and it will remain vibrant in future as well because his followers are very much in the arena to rid their motherland from the yoke of invaders.
Terming the relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan based on Kalma-i-Taiba, Hamid Gul was confident that together both the brotherly Islamic states would transform into a superpower to establish peace in the whole region and would also give the message of peace to the whole world.
Hafiz Abdur Rehman Makki paying his homage to the great warrior said that Mulla Mohammad Omar had inflicted humiliating defeat on NATO and US forces in Afghanistan and there was a lesson for rulers of Islamic states in the heroic life of Mulla Omer who had only bowed to Allah Almighty and refused to accept the dictates of America.
He said that Taliban under a strategy had concealed the death of their Amir and there was also humiliation for Americans which along with its stooges in Afghanistan had failed to find this important development.
The other speakers on the occasion also paid glowing tributes to the great leader who had spent his whole life fighting for the freedom of his motherland and laid down his life with boots on.
They hoped that Mulla Omer had trained thousands of mercenaries imbibed with the spirit of Jehad (holy war) and following in the footprints of their mentor they would flush out the invaders from their motherland.
