A spokesperson of LCCI claims that India was spending over Rs 15 billion on anti-KBD lobby in Pakistan annually as it knew that the making of this dam would provide benefit to Pakistan’s agrarian economy. This line of thinking, however, diverts our attention from the issue of the dam’s construction. 

Qaim Ali Shah, in an address before the Sindh Assembly, said that he will ensure that the Kalabagh Dam is never built. Nisar Khurro, another member of the assembly believes that this dam will do harm to the water provision of Sindh. These politicians have been misleading the general public into believing things which are not true. It is important that the federal government takes measures to clear this misconception.
