Words cannot express how great of an individual Abdul Sittar Edhi was. When the Prime minister offered Mr Edhi to avail the opportunity for free medical treatment abroad he flatly refused saying he would prefer to be treated at home. It’s good that messages of condolence by many fellow citizens are pouring. However, if individuals are truly grieving for loss of humanity, they should work towards carrying his mission forward in their own capacities. His life should provide a valuable lesson to us; that our actions should speak louder than our words. Edhi was a man of actions unlike those who proudly sit in federal assemblies and make tall claims. We should carry forward his torch.
