PTI govt working to empower youth: Buzdar

LAHORE  -   Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Saturday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was working on a comprehensive programme to empower youth. He said this while talking to a delegation of youth at the CM office. He said, “Pakistan is among the blessed countries whose 60 per cent of the population consists of youth, and this segment of society is a ray of hope for the country.”

He said the journey to the progress could be expedited by imparting skills to the youth.

Usman Buzdar said unfortunately the past governments did not invested for uplift of the youth, adding the PTI government would utilise all-out resources to benefit from the capabilities of the youth.

The CM said, “PTI government gives top priority to public service, development and progress of the nation and all of us should work together to ensure progress in the country”.

Also Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of former US president. In his condolence message he expressed sympathies to the US nation and bereaved family.

In a message, Chief Minister Buzdar congratulated newly-elected president of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) GM Jamali, Secretary General Rana Azeem and others office-bearers.

he said he is hopeful that the newly elected PFUJ leadership will play lead role in resolving problems being faced by journalists.  He said the new leadership of PFUJ will meet expectations of journalists who haved reposed confidence in them. He said journalists community has played vital role in promotion of democracy and strengthening of democratic institutions. He said PTI government has strong blief in freedom of expression.
