LAHORE AH Enterprise beat Versatile Herbal by seven runs in SPM League quarter-final match and qualify for the semi-final. AH Enterprises scored 197 for eight wickets. Salman Agha 35, Waqas Tariq 30 not out, Kashif Rasheed 28 and Muhammad Irshad 26 were the main scorers. Aqeel 2-29 and Usman Malik 2-43. In reply, Versatile scored 190 for nine wickets in allotted overs. Ahmed Butt 37, Aqeel and Sami Aslam 26 each were the main scorers. Muhammad Saeed 3-41 and Muhammad Irshad 2-31 were the main bowlers. Chief Guest Abid Masood presented the man of the match award to Muhammad Irshad. Qaiser Waheed and Muhammad Kaleem were the umpires while Saboor Ahmed was the scorer. Meanwhile, last quarter-final of professional group in SPM League will be played at Race Course Park between Premier Insurance & SRCC. Three teams have already qualify for the semi-final in this group which are AH Enterprises, Sayid Paper Stags and Chughtai Labs. Earlier, Sayid Papers Mills gave no room to Bhakkar Senior and handed them 122-run defeat at Model Town Whites Ground, Lahore. The match also enabled them to snatch place in next round of 12th National Senior Cup 2010. The highlight of the match was scorching century by former ODI opener Shahid Anwar who made 122. Tausif Mughal was also unbeaten with 100 while Asad Iqbal made 23* as SPM , under Aizad Sayid, made 270-2. Sami Ullah took 1-28. Bhakkar Senior crumbled for 148-8 with Sami Ullah 52, Afzal Shakir 41. Zia Uddin 3-17, Asif Mehmood 2-41, Javed Hayat 1-17, Iftikhar Ahmed 1-27 were successful bowlers. Shohzab Raza, Masood Khan were umpires while Zahoor Alam was scorer. Shahid Anwar later on took Man of the match award from Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA)s Chief Executive Officer Ashiq Qureshi, SPM head Aizad Sayid, Tahir Chughtai, Arif Mughal were also present on this occasion.
