U.S. drones on Tuesday fired eight missiles at two compounds in North Waziristan agency near the Afghan border, killing at least 13 people, report said. Intelligence officials say the missiles rained down Tuesday on the Degan area of North Waziristan, part of semiautonomous tribal region neighboring Afghanistan. Five people were also wounded in the attacks, it was reported. The U.S. refuses to talk about the CIA-run unmanned drone program in Pakistan, but officials say privately the missile strikes have killed several senior Taliban and al-Qaida leaders.
