ISLAMABAD - Former Chief Minister Sindh Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim Thursday formally joined ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) following his meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The overall political situation of the country as well as of Sindh was discussed in the meeting, according to an official statement.
Arbab Ghulam Rahim appreciated the premier for his government’s successful economic policies and for presenting public-friendly budget, it added.
After the meeting, he said that PM Imran Khan had assigned him various responsibilities including coordination with the local leadership of the party.
Earlier, Rahim had called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and both had discussed matters of mutual interest as well as overall political situation.
Former CM Sindh had earlier been a part of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA).
